Overtuigingstip 2: De VVV Techniek

De “Voelt”, “Voelde(n)” en “Vonden” techniek is een techniek die ik al jaren gebruik en ooit ergens in een boekje “Sales for dummies” tegenkwam, inmiddels al weer enige tijd geleden. Ik kan me voorstellen dat wanneer je voor het eerst kennis maakt met de techniek je misschien je er nog niet gemakkelijk bij voelt want veel andere mensen die ik ken voelden zich ook nog niet gemakkelijk totdat ze de waarde van de techniek begonnen te ontdekken en vonden dat deze techniek wel erg makkelijk is toe te passen.

Deze techniek is speciaal en erg effectief omdat de techniek werkt op een aantal lagen tegelijkertijd. In het voorgaande gebruikte ik de techniek al en laat ik nog een ander voorbeeld geven:

Ik begrijp hoe u zich voelt, veel van onze klanten voelden zich ook zoals u zich nu voelt, maar toen ze onze [jouw product] van dichterbij gingen bekijken, vonden ze onze [jouw product] erg waardevol.

Overigens als je niet in de verkoop zit maar wel regelmatig anderen moet overtuigen dan kun je “veel van onze klanten” natuurlijk vervangen door bv. “vele anderen”.

Er zij verschillende redenen aan te geven waarom deze techniek zo waardevol en bruikbaar is. Ten eerste door “gevoels” woorden te gebruiken creëer je een gevoel van empathie. Er ontstaat als het ware een emotionele band met je klant en hierdoor wordt het gemakkelijker om de interne criticus, die we allemaal kennen als het interne stemmetje, gunstig te stemmen en klanten ontvankelijker worden voor je voorstel

Overigens heb je nu veel aan overtuigingstip 1 want het is wel de bedoeling dat je het met oprechte empathie voor de ander brengt. En ik herhaal empathie voor de ander, immers zonder oprechte empathie voor de ander is het een stuk lastiger om iemand te overtuigen.

Daarnaast creëert de techniek een gevoel van saamhorigheid. Immers vele anderen hebben hetzelfde gevoeld en ondervonden. Ze zijn niet alleen. Mensen vinden dit leuk. Mensen vinden het prettig om te weten dat er anderen zoals zij op de wereld rondlopen en hetzelfde voelden. Het prettige neveneffect is dat het gevoel dat je een risico neemt als je het koopt bij de klant minder kan worden. Je klant gaat zich als het ware op zijn gemak voelen bij de gedachte om iets daadwerkelijk aan te schaffen.

En als laatste creëert de zin “maar toen ze onze [jouw product] van dichterbij gingen bekijken” een gevoel van nieuwsgierigheid om daadwerkelijk verder te kijken. Immers anderen hebben dat ook gedaan en kwamen tot een andere conclusie. Dus het moet wel de moeite waard zijn om toch nog even verder te kijken
